NEW PHD BEGINNINGS

This week marks the three week anniversary of my PhD.

The first week was spent hotfooting it around the midlands for various inductions.

The second was spent setting up my home office (desk surrounded by house plants) and making my first visit to the V&A archive which closes for the duration of my PhD from December). So the race is on to unearth everything required for the next four years in the next three months.

Therefore this week that’s where I’ll be. Holed up in Blythe House attempting to perfect my archive photography skills and marvelling at the lack of change in the V&A’s loan procedure since 1906 (the fonts and layout of the files have changed. THAT’S IT.)

P.S turns out the V&A Archive is closed from December 2020… so the race is now less urgent.
